What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website which may or may not have an effect on the integrity of your computer systems or mobile devices.

Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Your data stored is kept to a minimum of data required to identify your account and origin and is protected in a secure data base automatically and cannot be accessed by employee’s of the business and is carefully monitored for accuracy and security. 

What data breach procedures we have in place

If by chance our data security is breached it automatically shuts down access to the data base and alerts us at all levels and would not be reconnected until we are assured that the breach is closed and all data remains untouched. 

What third parties we receive data from

We rarely get data from a third party except on occasion when we may be sent information on someone who may be interested in our services and in that instance we would only use that information to contact the possible interested party and inform them if they are interested then they would be obliged to fill out our enquiry or subscription forms and confirm their wishes.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

All profiling is automatically set by our systems based on cookies and information given by a person or persons on our pages, the cookies help determine country of origin and systems used to connect with our websites and again all information collated and stored automatically.

We constantly check and follow all industry regulatory disclosure requirement and never divulge customer or member information unless required to do so by law in pursuance of a crime or felony.
