THE BEATLES in business
“one of the greatest money making machines ever”
I have loved the Beatles virtually all of my life for their music and it was only after I anylised their business model did I realise just how clever they really have been.
LOOK if I made you a fortune with just one part of my business model, “and trust me I really can” then you would most likely buy into anything else I created.
Let me give you an example:
Business lesson from Paul McCartney’s worst song
You know, there’s this song I hear over and over again every time it’s Christmas.
The song is called “Wonderful Christmastime” by Paul McCartney.
I don’t really like it.
Heck, most people I know, hate it.
In fact, it’s considered his worst song ever by the critics.
Here’s something people don’t know about the song.
You see, Wonderful Christmastime earns Paul half a million dollars every year in royalties.
For his worst song ever.
That’s awesome if you ask me.
Imagine how much he’ll be making with masterpieces like Live and Let Die, Maybe I’m Amazed and Band on the Run.
No matter how you look at it, every song is a great investment.
They took him some time to set up and produce them but when they were finished, he started earning good money from them.
It’s the same with online businesses.
They take a while to set up.
You go through technological hurdles.
You have to cut things and people from your life to find time to do what’s right for your business.
But when they are done?
They become money machines and put crisp dollar bills in your wallet.
For how long?
McCartney’s “worst” investment lasted 30 consecutive years.
Yours can be around for that long and even more.
All you need is a decent business opportunity.
P.S. When Paul was on his way to create his new album.
Here’s what he said:
“I’ll put out my next album, but I won’t think I’m going to sell a lot.
The scene has changed, but it doesn’t disturb me, because I had the best of it – selling 100,000 a day on something like ‘Mull of Kintyre.’
I’ve had the joy of that. If I don’t have it now, it’s not just about me. All of my contemporaries, who are still pretty cool, don’t have it, because things have moved on.
And you know what? We had it. And it was great.”
Paul is a unique example of a talented musician who did the right things and was at the right place at right time.
What about us who are not talented musicians?
Is there hope for us?
Sure there is.
We need to have our own businesses and constantly work on them.
This way, we will have to worry less about being talented and being at the right place at the right time.
You only need one thing.
